Crafting and cube recipes

A PD2 craft creates a new rare-like item from a magic or rare base. The old affixes are rerolled; ethereal status is preserved. The result combines preset recipe bonuses with up to four random affixes. The limit of three prefixes or three suffixes applies to those random affixes, not the preset bonuses.

These mechanical rules are currently supported by the wiki Crafting and Recipes pages only; two pages in one wiki are not independent verification. The linked Travic video is an optional demonstration, and its exact upload date has not been independently verified.

Before you click transmute

The cube is 4×4 in PD2, from the General Changes page. Season 14 also opens the cube on the stash screen. Neither fact changes the ingredients.

  • Match the base. A ring recipe does not produce an amulet; the wiki excludes circlets from crafting.
  • Count random affixes separately from preset bonuses: up to four random affixes, with at most three prefixes or three suffixes.
  • Extra affixes stop at four. A “perfect craft” story that lists five extras is over the wiki cap.
  • Uber ingredients such as Relic of the Ancients live on the Recipes page, not in a random forum image.

What this page will not do

I am not pasting every recipe. The wiki table is the maintained copy, under CC BY-SA, and a duplicate here would miss the next edit. Use the video for the gesture and the wiki for the ingredients. Puzzlebox and Worldstone Shard interactions are on the corruption page, because they are not ordinary crafts.

Can I craft in single player?

The cube recipes are item rules, not realm rules. Single-player limits are about stash and beta availability, covered on the offline page.
