Why, then how
PD2 mechanics guides
The wiki is the database. These guides are the order of operations: what to do first, what the number means, and the mistake that deletes an item. If a figure is only on one wiki page, the guide says so.
I picked the nine topics people search as if they were separate games: cube, corruptions, sunders, affixes, breakpoints, mercs, filters, maps, and ubers. Sunders are the trap. PD2 does not have them. That page exists so the search does not land on a D2R copy.

Install first. Then breakpoints, because the sheet already shows them. Then a loot filter so Hell is readable. Maps and ubers come after you can survive the campaign.
- Crafting and corruptions change items you already own. Read them before you cube a unique.
- Immunities are not sunder charms. Read the immunity page before you buy a charm named like a D2R item.
- Mercenaries use different weapon rules per act. The portrait on the wiki is the hire screen, not a tier list.

Questions
Are these the official guides?
No. The wiki pages linked at the bottom of each guide are the team’s data. These pages are the reading order and the warnings.
Where are build guides?
On the builds index. Mechanics pages stay mechanics so a corruption question does not turn into a tier list.
