T1, T2, T3

Endgame maps

To open a PD2 map, use a level 80+ character who has defeated Hell Ancients, then right-click the map in your inventory in Harrogath on Hell difficulty. The wiki allows one map or uber zone per game. T1, T2 and T3 have area levels 87, 88 and 89. The wiki lists T1, T2, T3 and a separate T4 dungeon tier. The access requirements and levels currently have one wiki source; Hiim’s use of tier labels does not independently corroborate the levels.

The Maps wiki gives event chances of 33% for rare maps, 22% for magic maps and 11% for regular maps. Those are map qualities, not T1/T2/T3 probabilities. This is a single-source figure. The former claim of “165 or more maps” had no support and has been removed; image counts are not map counts.

Tiers and events

Hiim’s tier list also sorts clears by T3, T2, and T1, which is a second place those labels exist. Their clear-time lines are not the wiki’s area levels. Do not mix a 3-minute clear into the area-level table.

Opening them

Find a first T1 map in Hell or Act 5 Nightmare; the wiki also lists a regular T1 map as the Hell Anya reward. Right-click the map in Harrogath after meeting the level and quest requirements. Orbs from Anya modify maps in the cube; an orb is not required merely to open a map. Screenshots on this site are wiki map stills, including Blood Moon and Ancestral Trial, credited on the image. Season 14 added three maps and a map stash tab. See the Season 14 and stash pages for that layer.

Single player: Season 9 patch notes say Uber Tristram can open without PlugY in single player; that is not a map introduction date. Beta can disable single player. That limit is on the offline page.

Questions

Is there a PD2 map creator?

Not as an official tool on the maps wiki page. Community authors make content. This site does not host an editor.

Can I run maps offline?

Maps are part of single-player endgame; the cited Season 9 no-PlugY change actually concerns Uber Tristram, not maps. PlugY is a separate fork and can conflict with the shared stash.
