Immunities, without the charm

Sunder Charms are not in PD2

If you searched sunder charms because a D2R guide told you to buy one, stop. The PD2 charms page says sunder mechanics, and the unique grand charms that carry them, are not implemented. Black Cleft, Bone Break, Cold Rupture, Crack of the Heavens, Flame Rift, and Rotting Fissure are all marked not implemented.

I checked the charms page and the game mechanics page on the same day. The second page is how PD2 actually breaks immunity. The half-effect rule above 99% resist is only on that mechanics page, so I am labeling it as a single official source, not as something a second site confirmed.

How immunity breaks here

Conviction-style minus-resist skills can break immunity. The mechanics page says that when a monster’s resist is over 99%, the effect of that reduction is halved. An example on the page is 110% fire resist against level 11 Lower Resist. I am not expanding the example into a calculator.

Pierce and “minus enemy resist” that do not break immunity, including Cold Mastery, Fire Mastery, and Berserk, only matter after something else has broken the immunity. Season 14 buffed Lower Resist’s base curse from -11 to -20. Procs kept the old value, per Hiim’s note on the patch. Do not call that buff a sunder.

Charms that do exist

Hellfire Torch and Annihilus are on the charms page with their PD2 stats. They are not sunders. Read the row. The endgame boss page explains where a torch comes from.

Questions

Can I move a D2R sunder into PD2?

No. Different clients, and the charm does not exist in PD2. The Support FAQ explicitly excludes Resurrected.

What breaks fire immunity?

A minus-resist skill that the mechanics page lists as able to break immunity, with the half-effect rule above 99%. Mastery pierce does not break it by itself.
