Reimagined is a Resurrected mod
“Diablo project vs Diablo Reimagined” compares two mods that do not install on the same game. The D2R Reimagined GitHub organization describes source for a Diablo II mod found on Nexus, and the repos are named for the Resurrected client. PD2’s download page requires classic Diablo II and Lord of Destruction.
I opened the GitHub org rather than a comparison video first. The repos include d2r-reimagined-mod, a reimagined launcher, and GoMule-Reimagined. That is enough to stop calling it a PD2 private server. BSD Gaming’s video (exact upload date unverified) is a preference piece on top of that fact.

Who it is for
If you own only the remaster, Reimagined is the mod that matches your client, and PD2 is not an option until you also own the legacy game. If you are on the PD2 ladder, Reimagined will not see your characters. Install them in different folders if you play both.

Is Reimagined a PD2 season?
No. It is a Resurrected project. Season 14 Alliance is PD2’s season.
Can I run both?
Not in one directory. The clients differ. Two installs, two launchers.
